Not that I've been around much lately, but expect me not to be reading anyone's LJ for a few days until the current round of "X is a racist. Y is a bigot. Z is a fathead just stirring shit up is over." There are two reasons for this:
1) Drama is a nice thing to major in during college, but not one of those things I'm interested in.
2) I doubt anyone oneither any side of the debate mindless emotional maelstrom of nonsense wants me to speak the truth at them, or will appreciate it when they hear it.

Are you hiding from IM as well, or just LJ?

That's why most of the draft writing happens on the Mac these days. Hands like that keyboard best.
And yeah, except for bits and pieces, my LJ is mostly drama-free. I plan to make a happydance announcement once I get more data about the fail of a major rightwing jerk in my state. There will be more skiing and horse posts soon.

And then there's 3) if authors and agents might possibly want to have talks with each other later, it behooves them to not say anything they'd regret?
If it's the same drama that I'm thinking of, it makes me want to hide my head under a pillow, so I'm not following it most of the time. I'll try to remember to LJ-cut if I do.
On the other hand, you're likely to see a lot of dragons on my LJ, so be warned!

It turns out that a + b + c + reading doesn't leave a lot of room for other things at the moment.

Sorry to hear about the arthritis. It doesn't go well with typing at all. It's why I mostly use Dragon at work.
