Anyone who has questions to ask, now is the time. Be it about the Winter Workout, or about anything else publishing, Onyxhawke or my tastes... type now or forever miss your keys.

I also have a question:

How did you hear about me?

I think I was bitching to a friend about not being able to find an agent and he recommended that I check you out.

My question: how does one show an agent in their query that a modern mythology story idea can sell?

I should have clarified. I meant, how do you sell the idea in a query letter? Many of the ones I look at require a letter only and don't ask for a sample of the writing.

I can't tell you what will sell to other people. I can say that a clear and concise briefing on the book that talks about its strengths and doesn't compare it to (insert great writer/book/series here) or better still multiple greats is usually a good start.

Also passion without obsession is good.

Your Novel Proposal, written by agents and publishers, walks you through the steps from query to proposal and points out some valuable DO'S and DON'Ts along the way.

The best piece of advice from the book - learn how to sell your book in one paragraph. Seriously.
