Which ones?

I'm curious as always and was wondering what writers groups and forums people belong too. I'm familiar with some, like Realms of Fantasy, Critters, and Absolute Write, but I was wondering where else people have gotten in the past or do now get and or share advice.

I'm not a writer personally, but I've found the discussions and comments in the Baen's Universe conferences (on the Bar) pretty good.

SF Reader Forums. Great board for polite conversation on which a surprising number of published authors hang out, including a VERY recent WotF winner.

I started with Online Writing Workshop for SF/F, which was actually very helpful for a while. There was one for Zoetrope; I'm assuming it's still around though I haven't checked in years. There's a bunch on the Nano boards. Seton Hill has a board and message list for alums and teachers and students. Clarion West and Odyssey have thriving message boards; Clarion has one anyone can join for a fee, but it's sort of ailing right now. Or one can cultivate lots of friends on LJ and get good answers that way, too, which is what I do since I'm not active in any lists or boards at the moment 'cause I feel like I've outgrown a lot of them.

Online Writing Workshop is my favorite.

I hang out at ROF and SFF.net, mostly.

writer groups

Decade ago, "writers bbs" - Currently email group of writers "writerswarped" - Live Journal - Baen site but have not logged into for months - I am sure there are other groups I've signed into but never really did anything with.

Writers bbs was great, one of the first on the internet. Met a lot of great people there, two have become best selling authors for fiction, another writes pet books that are found at every bookstore I've looked in. Another did gardening books briefly.
